Danish course (FVU)

“More options” is an offer to adults from the age of 25. You will get 60 hours of further education in Danish.

Purpose
This course will make you better at reading, spelling and writing Danish. It will give you more skills for education, work and private life. Before you start the course, you have to take a test to see your level of Danish. The teacher will design 60 hours of education for you based on your test results. The test takes place at our school in Roskilde.

Course content
You work based on your individual learning plan with e.g. this content:

• Language exercises (dialogue, summarising/retelling, explanations of terms, subject terms, pre-subject terms, vocabulary, foreign words, synonyms, antonyms)
• Understanding what you read (inference exercises - reading/listening between the lines)
• Reading techniques, reading strategies, reading speed
• Authentic texts (samples, instructions, invitations, readers' letters, letters/mail, public letters, digital communication)
• Grammar exercises (subject words, verbs, nouns, adjectives, word pairs, punctuation)
• Written presentation
• Cross-examinations – partial tests

Flexible teaching when you have time
The teaching is organised so you can complete it when it suits you. That way, you can take care of your job, family and leisure life without any problems. 3 times you must attend class teaching from 9-12. The rest of the time the teaching is followed online, and your individual tasks are solved when you have time.
